SEO Snap Episode 9 Transcript:

“Connect 4. Sites that make the first page on Google search results pages rank for an average of 1,890 meta keywords.”

“If you remember from season 1, keywords are the words or phrases that people type into a search engine when looking for something on the internet.”

“But, just because you want to rank for a keyword, doesn’t mean that you can.”

“Google takes several things into account; Google’s main consideration is something called a website authority score.”

“And that score is a number between 0-100, and that determines a website’s ranking with a specific keyword compared to its competitors.”

“You see, keywords also have an authority score of 0 to 100, and to rank for that keyword, your authority score has to be greater than or equal to the authority score of the keyword.”

“Additionally, to outrank your competitors for a specific keyword, your website authority score has to be higher than theirs.”
